I really didn't care much for this story, to tell you the truth. There sure was a whole lotta hype over the book, I'd seen it on a million bestseller lists, I'd seen hundreds of women and young girls picking it up at the bookstore. If you like your Aesop fable all in a bundle and enjoy an endless stream of righteous platitudes, then this is for you. Coming it at four hours, it feels like the longest book in existence. I swear, it took months to finish.

I only finished this because of the synergistic pressure of a reading challenge deadline and love for Jeremy Irons' voice.
