Although I marked profound quotes, this book was a bit dark for me. I am glad I read F451 because it has been deemed a classic but it is not the kind of book that is in my wheelhouse. Cruelty and inhumanity were predominant. Insanity, war, destruction, and joy killing were common and repeating themes. The writing was well executed and I understand its impact at the time it was written but the themes and scenarios were not right for me.
