What Members Thought
The Idiot completely spoiled me . The level of characterization on display in this novel is nowhere near the heights of The Idiot and even falls short of notes from underground in some aspects. Rashkonikov being an inherent contradiction to himself is an accurate representation of the materially poor striving intellectual who just can’t seem to get a leg up, and also the surrounding pressures of his family and everything, all good, but that’s all done in the first act… past the inciting incident
