Michael Finocchiaro
A classic from surrealist Vonnegut that should be ob everyone’s TBR. The story of Billy Pilgrim (what an awesome name for a character!) and Dresden echos in Gravity’s Rainbow by Pynchon and Catch-22 by Keller and is truly on of the monumental anti-war characters in American if not world literature. In these days of renewed global conflict with the also renewed threat of nuclear exchanges (Korea, Middle East...), it is especially poignant and a must read.

As someone who loves books and movies with time travel involved, I was very interested in reading this book, but I found more than just that in this book. I saw the way the war just never leaves a person and it stays with them for the rest of their life, and also helps serve Kurt Vonnegut’s anti-war aspect of it, which I thought really tied in well with his writing. I live the idea of someone traveling through different points in their life, seen in movies like the Butterfly Effect and it fits s ...more
