Hard to believe this was written in 1954, during (or as a response to?) the Eisenhower administration—the time DJT wants to return to when he says “MAGA.”
Much has been written about this being the template that started an entire genre (zombie apocalypse) and I can see why; I have watched all three film versions and enjoyed comparing and contrasting them. All VERY different in the details, and I’ll bet a lot of that had to do with who played Robert in each as much as anything.
