June is the Republic's prodigy. She was able to get a perfect 1500/1500 on her Trial test, and was sent to college early. She's a troublemaker but gets of easy because of her smarts, athletics, and speech. At school, she never had friends but was always the gossip of the place.

Day is the Republic's problem. He is a national criminal always getting away with his crimes, evading the police and military. Embarrasing them by using disguises, having them not know what he looks like. And he's June is the Republic's prodigy. She was able to get a perfect 1500/1500 on her Trial test, and was sent to college early. She's a troublemaker but gets of easy because of her smarts, athletics, and speech. At school, she never had friends but was always the gossip of the place.

Day is the Republic's problem. He is a national criminal always getting away with his crimes, evading the police and military. Embarrasing them by using disguises, having them not know what he looks like. And he's been doing it for 5 straight years.

Naturally, these two would be enemies. But June wants Day dead not for the Republic, but for personal reasons. As she learns more about him, she finds the real Day is different from the Day who did all the crimes. The Republic has done so much wrong that betraying her country sounds like the reasonable thing when she uncovers what happened to her deceased family.

Day on the other hand, has to protect his family especially when his younger brother,Eden, comes down with a new form of the plague. It's difficult when they are very poor and Eden is slowly crossing to the other side. Along with trying to find a cure, when he has "difficulty" escaping. Which leads to most of the mess beginning.

I was going on vacation and I went to the library to go and get some books. All of the books I planned on reading were checked out or not there. I remembered someone recommended Legend to me so I quickly picked up so I could leave and not be late to band practice.

I am glad I picked up because I LOVED this book. It was slow in my opinion at the beginning but once it got to page 80-somthing, that's when it picked up the pace. There was romance but not over kill which is good.

I would recommened this to people who like to dystopian novels such as Divergent in which I see some similarities. I'm not saying Legend is the "New Divergent" as in some people would say Divergent is "The New Hunger Games" because I hate when people say that. Every book is different but like Divergent to The Hunger Games, they have similar character traits and stuff. Anyway, just go read the book Legend because you will love it. ...more

I LOVE DAY AND THIS BOOK NEEDS TO BE A MOVIE! I have this weird thing where all my favorite charachters end up being named Daniel. Like WTF?!

WHAAAAT?! Th director of warm bodies is making this movie! #betterthanhungergames
