Samuel Steward's life was fascinating and all the people that he seemed to know or cross paths with were like a who's who of literary, tattoo, and early gay history. In the end though, his life ended up sad and I hate to say it but somewhat pathetic which to me seemed like a real tragedy of such a life filled with so many intense adventures and interests.
