What Members Thought

Not sure what I missed with this one. A Single Man details a day in the life of George, a gay man living in the suburbs of Southern California, as he adjusts to the death of his partner Jim. While Isherwood incorporates phrases of beauty every now and then and through George ruminates on deep topics, the story as a whole failed to move me. Will probably reread at a later at a later date and/or watch the movie.

I was getting worried. Recently it seems I hate pretty much every book I read and the best praise I could give any was, "It was pretty good."
I love this book. Oh, that feels great to be able to say.
