Not going to rate this because I wouldn’t even know how to begin. This has been on my shelves for 2 decades now and I thought I had already read it, but in fact had not. It’s a groundbreaking work and you can see Lorde’s influence on many other memoirs and autobiographies that comes after it. Oh how I loved this book! It touched something in me a writer, poet, and a queer child of immigrants. Lorde is amazing in her description of New York and of youth and life.
