Awesome much????!!!

Acabo de terminar el libro y me arrepiento muchísimo de que me haya durado tan poco. Lo he amado y ha sido una grandísima continuación de Angelfall. Y el final! OMG esas últimas 30 páginas han sido muy épicas, y el cliffhanger!!! no ha sido horrible pero aún así necesito el siguiente libro como aire para respirar. Ojalá el tercer libro salga en junio tal y como pone en GR.

En fin, amor máximo por esta saga, por Penryn, Raffe, Paige.... <3333

oh my god i don't know what's wrong with me. the fact that it took me almost 2 years to finish this book is just like what the hell??? so my excuse is is that i haven't really been reading much since then and i've become more of a slow reader. :(

World After was a worthy sequel and more after AngelFall. Penryn is still trying to save herself, her mother and her sister when everything around her is crumbling down. She is with her family in a refugee camp trying to piece everything together but bigger things are at play and soon they have to face the perils of life outside too. At the end of Angelfall we had Paige in some awful circumstance and in this book she is still suffering. Raffe was absent in most of the book which was grievously f World After was a worthy sequel and more after AngelFall. Raffe was absent in most of the book which was grievously felt but when he makes a come back what a come back it was.

I absolutely love Penryn and her approach to life, danger and all obstacles that life throws at her. Her resilience and her positive attitude makes her a rarity in the YA world. She is so different from all the many Young adult heroines out there who whine, moan and complain and are extremely immature even for their age. Whereas Penryn while being a teen still has a good head between her shoulders and thank fully doesn't get swept away with teenage angst.

Her mother on the other hand is still bat shit crazy and I can't figure out what and how she achieves these incredible feats and what Susan Ee plans with her character.

Raffe, my beautiful demigod. He was absent in most of the most and I truly was getting impatient for his appearance. I missed his dry humour and his style of tension that he brings on to the pages. When he does appear Penryn and Raffe do get there moments but honestly, for me, it wasn't enough.

Susan in her style had a well-crafted story, tight story line and gripping plot to keep the reader invested. The world World After is set in, is quite depressing and dark but for some reason I can see hope for the survivors of the Angel Invasion. The story concluded well but it felt like a new beginning was round the corner. I adored World After and I'm so glad I read it as it brought me out of my reading phunk. My only complaint was about less Raffe page time.

Overall World After was a excellent YA book with a no nonsense heroine, action packed, thrilling adventure with a smidgeon of romance thrown in. I'd recommend to all fans of dystopian, YA ,The Hunger Games and Divergent. A must read. ...more

Amazing! Not often is it that you find the follow up in a sequence of books as the good as the first, but Susane Ee has done it again. Beautiful written prose, powerful scenes, a great plot line that keeps you guessing until the end and a cliff hanger which isn't unbearable but just wants you to read on. Penryn Young has become even more Kick Ass and Raffe.... well lets just say we see more of an insight into his motives and back story.

Another fantastic book from Susan Ee! This book is the first YA in a while I've been completely unable to put down. There are some seriously grotesque things in it that made me wonder if it could still be considered YA - but it really was an excellent read. Worth reading for the last 50 pages alone. Incredible as usual, full of wit, wonder and swords named Pooky Bear. I mean, how could you not love this book? Full review to come.

I really like this series! It's super gritty, strong girl teen protagonist, REALLY gory, has all the elements of fantasy that I love, edge of your seat plotline, I give it 4.5 stars. Why minus half a star? hrmmmmmmmm HRMMMMMMM Maybe just the inherit roughness (some of the interactions with new characters just felt really pushed?) in the fact that it's self-published? But as sequels go? This truly is a badass part #2, so knowing that I gave it the full 5 stars.

Wow, what a ride! I absolutely loved it. This book was pretty much a non-stop, terrifying, rollercoaster ride for me. I have a 7 year old daughter and the scenes with Paige were just heart breaking. And what the other 99% of the humans were enduring was just horrifying to imagine. Very well written. I could not put it down. I loved Penryn just as much as before. She did not disappoint and neither did Raffe. And of course I even loved pooky bear.
