After seeing the movie over 100 times, I was rather disappointed in the book. The movie ruined it probably but it was still a good read. I just recommend the movie over the book.

Nicholas Sparks' novel The Notebook is a wonderful book, but I am torn between the movie and the book. The movie built it up. I enjoyed both thoroughly. The movie had points and places I liked. The book had its points and places I liked. I like this story for the simple fact that is shows true and honest to goodness old fashioned love. The kind that my generation wants but can't have, because of the "me complex". So overall good book, but torn between the movie and the book. ...more

Nice, easy reading. Perfect for an afternoon. 24 hours after starting it I was already done with the book.
