3.5 rounded up. I did enjoy this story where the forces of nature interrupt Darcy in the middle of his disastrous proposal. There are storms and floods and people seeking assistance, so he doesn't realize that Elizabeth is refusing him right away. Once that misunderstanding is cleared up, there is no way to escape the parsonage, so he is stuck there with Elizabeth as well as some villagers seeking refuge for a couple of days. Very well written.
This is a well written and well edited variation with really interesting sub plots as well as the main Darcy and Elizabeth storyline. Some interesting character twists. Well worth reading

DNF. I like this author so I decided to give this book a second try. It’s not that it’s not good, I just don’t like stories with adventures.
