4.5 rounded up to a 5. This book was such a delight! I love stories from Darcy's perspective, but this one is very fun and unique. Instead of the reserved, but impeccably mannered Mr. Darcy, we get the raw and embittered Darcy who has had enough of the rewards of living up to society's dictates and expectations. He has always let his overdeveloped sense of honor and duty govern his choices and it has brought him nothing but trouble and grief, more than even he realizes when we begin this journey

An intense, fulfilling read
This is a quite remarkable read - at times hard to read as Darcy’s emotional pain seems too raw for him to conquer but conquer he does with a very real and engaging Elizabeth.

Toooo long ! Too many side stories, too many details etc etc DNF. A pity, because I liked the characters and writing.
