The selection began with thirty-five girls, now six are remaining. America is still struggling to decide where her heart truly lies, with her royal Prince Maxon or her first love Aspen. America is desperate for more time, but the rest of the Elite knows exactly what they want (Prince Maxon), and America's chance to choose is about to slip away. The Selection Series is a dystopian, romance novel based on the transforming country of America. The United States is no more the country of the free and home of the brave. The country was split into castes based on wealth after the rebellion. There is a King and Queen making the decisions. The Elite focuses on the rebellion more than the selection. The ongoing northern and southern rebel attacks are causing havoc in the palace. In my opinion, my favorite book out of the series would be the first novel, but don’t get me wrong, I truly love the series. In my opinion, I would compare The Selection Series to The Hunger Games Series but rather than fighting for your life, the competitors are fighting for the crown of Illea. I would recommend this series to anyone who is looking for a fast paced, romance novel.
