I like this book, it's very hard for me to say good things about books now a days, but this book I like. I really like Thomas as the main character. It looks like he is becoming more and more like a leader.
I really enjoy that it was fast pace filled with action and adventure.

So I loved the first book so very much and gave it five stars! But I just could not give it five stars! I loved it and the characters but it just wasn't as fast paced as the first book. I did however love the new characters and the old also. I did not realize how much I missed Thomas and Newt!
The scorch trials picks up exactly where the maze runner ends. I loved the mystery in the first book, so I was happy when there was still the same mystery element in this book.

Totally loved the first book and was disappointed by the sequal.
It's really an inbetween for TMZ 1 & 3, you won't get the whole story of Death Cure if you haven't read this one. Got bored at multiple chapters, had to read the third book right after this one to compensate. Dashner added some funny parts though, like in every TMZ book so far (have't read Killzone yet but that sounds more like a serious one since it involves WICKED's story) ...more

A little slower paced that the Maze runner though good all the same, loved what happened with Brenda and Teresa. And loved the gore, even though it wasn't that descriptive I have a pretty big imagination so I practically recoiled away from all the gory stuff, though I liked it a lot :D
