My soul is crushing me to finish this series. My head hurts. Definitely had some elements of horror, but the mystery, sci-fi, fantasy aspects are much brighter. The elements of horror are only in the strange "messages" this girl receives. Good lord, I feel like the author just decided to try and throw together every genre she could.
