What Members Thought
What can you expect from a book that has been designated “the Moby Dick of Horror” by proven experts in the field¹? Quite a lot, actually. Only, it’s not horror. Not entirely, anyway. It’s not even a novel in the classical sense. It’s more like an exercise in ergodic literature².

I read this about 13 years ago. From what I remember it's a nice creepy story that is a bit too ambitious for its own good. I suspect that one's enjoyment level will probably coincide closely with three other factors:
1. Amount of free time
2. Ability to put up with bullshit
3. Tendency to obsess over cryptic minutiae
