This was so much fun! I loved the characters and the story and it was really creative! There were only slight, tiny things that dropped this down to a four instead of five stars, but so good nonetheless!

This is a very good story, with whimsical characters and straight-forward writting.
It was pretty quick to read, no boring parts or long descriptions, but it felt a little too young for my liking.
I also think the story is great enough without the photos and their role is not essential at all. They seemed to me like an afterthought.
Nevertheless, I'm going to read the next one because I'm curious what will happen to these peculiar children.

This is a fantastic book. It is unexpected, gothic without being pretentious, the photos are enchanting. I could go on love it to bits.

im not quite sure how i feel about this book. on one hand i thought it was super interesting but on the other hand didnt find myself compelled to finish it so it took me forever to read it. i probably will continue on with hollow city sometime soon.
