Even though it did take me some time to fully get into the book, by the end of it I was craving more. Sarah J. Maas did a great job of building the characters, lore, and world of Throne of Glass and it was one of the more unique fantasies that I've read. I think that because of the building, the writing was a bit slow at times and I found myself dragging through it in the first half of the book, which is why I ultimately ended up g ...more

Oh. My. Good. Lord. Now I've read fantasy novels, but nothing like this, and...IT WAS BLOODY PERFECT. The tests, the bad-assery that is Celeana Sandothrien and just...EVERYTHING. I loved this book so much, that I don't know if I can do a full book review on it. And the romance....when I first read this in the summer of last year, I loved it. A lot. Why did I wait so long to read this?
Everyone is right, this book is great and I can't wait to continue with the series!
Celeana is such a wonderful character who shows that badass and girly are not opposite terms and that it's completely possible for a girl to kick ass and love dresses and think boys are cute.
There were some slow parts, but I think that's expected in a series opener, especially such a large series it's going to be. Kudos to Sarah J. Maas on creating a spectacular world with ...more
