This books has the perfect balance of tear jerking romance and epic action. This book definitely lived up to all the hype. This is very high fantasy, so make sure if you read this that you are paying attention to all the different names of character and places so that you don't get lost.

Hmmm let's see. It took me ages to get through this book even though it's just 400 something pages. This wasn't because the story was bad I'm just not use to reading high fantasy. But let me tell you all that is going to change since I finished this book. Celaena our protagonist is more than meets the eye as we delve into her worries and human characteristics which give away the fact she has a heart. Her skill as an assassin is a given. Really enjoyed this book. The character and the writing really allowed this book to grow. However I did fine that the plot was obvious which was a little disappointing.

Third re read and it’s still just as good!
I really really liked this book!!! It had adventure, romance, and just general badassery (that's a word now). I enjoyed the world and all of the characters, and I am highly looking forward to the next book, which I will be picking up immediately.

Very entertaining and I absolutely love the main character. I thought Celaena is so awesome! I definitely see this series going in a good direction. But I don't know who's team I'm on yet because I really like both Dorian and Chaol. But at times it was very predictable. Also, I thought it was a little too overhyped, and the plot was slow. I would give this 4 stars. :)
