When I started this one, I thought it would be a solid 3 star. But it turned out to be a really sweet story about love, sisterhood, and finding yourself.
2018 update: yes, I reread this after seeing the movie a hundred times. They are quite different (the audiobook was hard with a non-Noah Centineo Peter voice), but I appreciate both individually. The book feels more realistic, while the movie is a fairy tale. I’m excited to reread the rest of the series too!

I couldn't get enough of this story! The sisterly relationship was the best! I just loved everything about it. But why did it have to end like that!? I need more!!

This is not the kind of story that I usually read, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! Although Laura Jean seemed quite young, her innocence was one of my favorite things about her. I really appreciated Jenny Han's inclusion of multiple issues young girls go through, such as believable rumors, conflicting emotions, and birth control/gynecologist visits.
Looking forward to how the next book goes. ...more

Contemporary fiction is my new friend. I really liked this story and I loved and cared for the characters. I was able to predict most of the ending but I still couldn't put it down. Now I'm stuck waiting for the sequel. This was just a fun summer read that makes you fall in love with love. I've had a pattern this year of reading books about letters. Now to read more books by Jenny Han.

I really enjoyed reading this book, it was a fast read and some parts were very funny! I loved the relationship between the sisters, I wish she would have finish the letter to Peter but I guess that's saved for book #2. I can't wait!
