I am so sad this book is done. I am going to be living with these characters for a very long time. So amazingly well written. It handles the topic of concentration camps and the holocaust I normally steer away from in my book reading with grace and ease, but yet it is real and doesn't hold back. Just a perfect book. Hopefully the movie will be out very soon.

The ending is the most emotional part to me. Everything comes together by then. Or at least for the reader.
The things Vianne, Isabelle and countless others had and did to survive during this time is remarkable. Even though this book is fiction, it rings pretty close to the truth.
The Author does a respectful job of writing about this time in history and I feel like I gained more knowledge about this time as well.
