What Members Thought
A really deep, complex story with so many layers and rich, complicated characters. I spent pretty much all of the last chapter with tears running down my cheeks when it was all wrapped up and I learned how it all turned out for each of the main characters. It's about WWII, but so much more than that too. I think because it was told from the women's point of view it touched on a lot of really powerful, painful parts of war that aren't usually discussed, like rape and children and women's bravery

Heartbreaking and beautiful, showcasing the strength of women and love.
Loved this whole book, advanced warning I bawled my eyes out, more than once.
Absolutely fantastic. So well written and read. A beautiful story with such depth and emotion.
