A LOT of math and science-y info throughout the book (as one might expect, I suppose). Not really my kind of story, but I didn’t mind it as much as I thought I would.

The movie was good and the book was great! Another review says Watneys log entries sound like a nerds blog.. He was a nerd and essentially it was his blog. I loved it. The book is funny, serious, complicated and great.
Only 15 pages in but eager for more
I LOVE THIS BOOK. I can't believe it took me so long to read it. I ended up listening to the audio book so that I could get it done before seeing the film (which was also excellent, by the way).
The characters are well developed, the plot is believable (hard to do when dealing with space travel) and it had me laughing out loud and sitting on the edge of my seat many times. ...more

I loved reading this book. It actually made me tear up, more than once. It's a gripping story. I can't wait to see the movie.
