If I could give this book more stars I would give it all the stars in the sky.
I absolutely loved this book. It has everything I needed, humour, science, space, suspense and potatoes. My god the potatoes!
I wanted to make this last as long as possible but couldn't stop thinking about it when I put it down so had to pick it up again and again. I was making copious notes on my kindle highlighting the lines I loved and had to stop because nearly every line was one I loved.

Very often hyped books seems to dissapoint me. The Davinci code being the worst example(man that is a horrible book!!!)This book on the other hand didn't dissapoint at all. It was a very enjoyable listen I think. It's like a modern Robinson Crusoe story really and a good one at that. I'm no science geek so I was scared all the science babble I had read should be in this would annoy me, but Weir kept that at a very understandable level so I just liked it.

Couldn't put it down! The Book Apothecary prescribed this book for me, and it was exactly the story I needed.

I will begin with acknowledging that i dislike sci-fi books. That being said, this book was amazingly gripping and suspenseful from beginning to end, and I could not put it down!

I LOVE THIS BOOK. I can't believe it took me so long to read it. I ended up listening to the audio book so that I could get it done before seeing the film (which was also excellent, by the way).
The characters are well developed, the plot is believable (hard to do when dealing with space travel) and it had me laughing out loud and sitting on the edge of my seat many times. ...more

Much of the technical stuff was over my head (thankfully it didn't dwell on much of that), but overall I could hardly put it down.
