Really enjoyed this book! It reminded me a lot of The Perks of Being a Wallflower. If somehow this book and TPoBaW could be combined, it'd be thee perfect book!

I really loved how honest the book was. Another facet that I loved were the little facts about the people that the MC was writing to.

I really enjoyed this novel because it was different. I haven't seen too many epistolary novels for teens. In fact, off the top of my head, the only one I can ever recall having read is Dracula. It's difficult to immerse yourself in a character when you're only getting their thoughts via letter. I was worried that only knowing Laurel's perspective would hold me back while reading, but I found that this novel was extre

If a teacher gave you a writing assignment-to write a letter to a dead person-who would you address it to? Laurel picks Kurt Cobain, lead singer of Nirvana. Not because she loved him, but because her sister, May, did. May died, but we don't know why yet..or what happened that night between her and Laurel. Through a series of letters though, spanning the entire year, we find out what happened to Laurel, May, and the people closest to them.
