It has been a while since the last Rizzoli and Isles book but the author certainly has not lost her skill. Coincidentally, since the title is Listen To Me, I did indeed listen to this book and enjoyed the way the narrator handled it.
Interestingly the book was divided almost equally into Jane Rizzoli's story and that of her mother. Angela Rizzoli is a bit of a Miss Marple in that she lives alone in a quiet street and takes pleasure in observing her neighbours. This gets her into a lot of trouble ...more

Sofia’s husband had recently died and it appeared she’d returned home and interrupted a robbery. Rizzoli and Isles are back and the case they have is a confusing one. As they try to unravel the case that evidence shows may connect with a previous hit and run, Angela Rizzoli tries to figure out what is going on with the new couple in her neighborhood without getting herself into trouble.
I was so excited to see this duo back together. It has been a long 3 years since the last book. The story was great and there are no gaps in time. The reader jumps back into their lives as if no time has pass ...more

Listen to Me
4 Stars
While Detective Jane Rizzoli and her partner, Barry Frost, investigate the murder of a beloved nurse in an apparent home invasion, Angela Rizzoli has her hands full spying on her new neighbors, who are strange to say the least. Which one will solve their case first?
It is always entertaining to find oneself back in the world of Rizzoli & Isles. This is a strong addition to the series, even though Isles plays a relatively minor role in this book.

I was beginning to think the author was done with this series. Happy to have another one. The main mystery was not that hard to figure out but I liked the ride to get there. Surprised by how much of a role Jane’s mother had in this. I feel like the author changed her up drastically from the beginning of the series when she was so unlikable.
