This was probably the best book out of the whole series. Read as a stand alone it is good. It is well paced, interesting and Maggie never does anything silly. There is some unnecessary romantic stuff since every new guy just has to fall head over heels for Maggie - even the criminals lust after her - but it was peripheral and did not affect the story.

FBI Agents Maggie O'Dell and R.J. Tully are called to Iowa where a body has been uncovered on a construction site. They are part of the FBI Highway Serial Killer Initiative, working to find the dumping grounds of serial killers thought to be traveling the nation's interstate highways.
