Eh, this was ok. Easy to read, I finished in less than 24 hours, but a little too easy to read. Told by an elderly woman to her adult granddaughter, it really comes across as if she is talking to a young child. There really just isn't much to it. I suppose I was expecting more as I loved The Red Tent. While this book wasn't awful by any means, it was not one I'd go out of my way to recommend to anyone.

Enjoyed this book, although I felt the wrap up at the end was a little rushed. I think I might have enjoyed the part when Addie was working at the newspaper the most.
This is a great novel of a grandmother telling her granddaughter her life story in an interview. I loved it. There were times that I wanted to know more, but that made sense in the point of view of the interview. I loved Addie and am glad I got to devour this in a few days!
