How have I never read this book before?! I listened to most of this as an audio production, done by several actresses, and it was a treat to listen too! There were many times though that I could not wait to get back in my car to continue listening, so I read multiple chapters from the text as well. This book is filled with memorable characters, history that should not be forgotten or repeated, southern charm, and valuable lessons for every human being to carry with them.
