What a powerful book. For me, this collection of stories speaking to the shared experience of today's marines was much more powerful than the reporting you see on television. These are personal stories, not someone reporting in 3rd person. While some of the stories were in a different language for me (there's one that uses practically every TLA ever invented), I think they humanized parts of the conflict that really haven't come together for me before.
