I really enjoyed reading Heidi for the second time. It's one of my favourite books.
It's a beautiful story of a child who finds happiness in a hut on a mountain, among simple people and loving grandfather and... goats. That's all she needs.
This book reminded me of what is important in life...

A classic children's tale set in Switzerland about a little girl named Heidi who is full of the joys of mountain life. It was charming in places and I chuckled a couple of times, but it was also very twee and I struggled to suspend my disbelief at five-year-old Heidi's disposition - I don't think I've ever met a five-year-old who would do and say those things!
