Not my usual type of book (and I it took some time to actually figure out WHAT type this was), but I enjoyed it. I eventually decided that it was better to read it in chunks so that I had time to reflect on what I'd read. The use of actual pictures is a plus; trying to visualize Riggs going through hundreds of actual photos to help tell the story made me very curious. When I was finished and read his bio and saw that he writes for Mental Floss, it made a lot of sense, too. (I was fortunate to me ...more

I would rather know the real story behind the ...more

The reviews for this book are all over the map. Some mentioned that at a certain point the book changes so greatly & not for the better, so I kept waiting for that moment to happen. It didn't for me. I enjoyed the whole thing, although I admit that it wasn't really what I was expecting.

Some of the pictures in this book creeped me out, even though I'm 23 years old and this is a teen novel. Despite that, it was a really great story. I'm guessing it's not finished though. At least I hope not. ...more
