What Members Thought
Closer to a 3.5 - there were many things I loved about this book. The characters were real and the message about the importance of reading and writing is perfect! I found some of the story rushed though and the ending was disappointing.
Fast-paced, witty, heartwrenching, and thought provoking. The perfect book for all readers and fans of the good old fashion book. I have to concur with Zevin's point: A town isn't a town without a bookstore!

Thanks to my cousin Sara for recommending this book. It's a great read. AJ isn't an easily liked man, but things happen in his life that alter him just enough to be not such a curmudgeon and maybe just enough so you care about what happens to him.
