Still in love.

The Martian has been one of my favorite movies of 2015 (Kingsman has been my Number 1, no questions ask) so it was logical to read the book eventually after I’ve found out one existed. And let me tell you, it has been one fine read!

I loved this book. Yes, it took me forever to read, but that's more because I'm easily distracted by other things (my computer/fanfics) and it took some doing to make me actually pick up a hard copy book rather than an audiobook in the car. But I honestly, seriously, adored The Martian.
It's witty and funny, paired perfectly with danger and seriousness. I loved that I could pick out exactly sentences from the movie, that they kept it that close when they made the film.

With just a few exceptions, I loved every page of this book! It was a gripping tale of a castaway (of sorts) and I felt like I even learned something along the way. I liked that the author took us between Mark Watney's perspective and those back on Earth. Mark was an ingenious engineer/botanist who was sometimes too smart for his own good and the NASA interactions gave us insight into things that Mark could not know.
