Daniel Sempere, Julián Carax, etc...

I don't know what to say except that I was riveted from the very beginning. And I loved that the story went full circle. Throughout this story I kept seeing parallels between Daniel and Julián's lives. When people started to comment on how much Daniel reminded them of Julián I started thinking maybe they were connected in some way other than the book.

I spent most of the book imagining who in Daniel's life could be Julián or if they shared a relative. It took ...more

Shadow of the Wind is a dark and twisty tale of a book, a boy and a girl. As a boy, Daniel finds a rare novel hidden in the depths of the Cemetery of Books and this discovery sets off a series of events that will drastically alter the lives of everyone involved.
