I've read many an edition (and seen many a production) of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and have an emotional attachment to it because it was one of the first plays I ever performed in, many moons ago. This edition is quite good for all the reasons mentioned in the summary: the explanation of Elizabethan terms and a "modern" translation side-by-side with Shakespeare's words (which can be especially useful to some when reading this play, the plot can be a bit confusing at times). Definitely one of my favourites of Shakespeare's comedies. The typical ingredients: innuendos, confusions, lovers in distress, and marriages. Enjoyable, quick to read, funny - except for the meta-play, that was a bit too simple and silly for my liking - and overall, cute. I enjoyed the magical elements (the fairies, potions) and the knavish, foolish, yet adorable Puck.
