I read Foundation in High School, then saw the first Star Wars movie. I thought it was so much like Foundation that it was based on this trilogy. I didn't see Asimov's name at all in the credits, only George Lucas. I thought it time to re-read this series (spurred on by the latest Star Wars movie). I enjoyed it just as much this time. I have had this book on a to read list for a few years. It is supposedly a seminal work of science fiction everyone should read. I thought it was a book with a good premise but poorly written. It was confusing and left dangling story lines throughout. The book begins with a young scientist who arrives to learn from a great scientist who can predict the future. De nombreux thèmes passionnants sont abordés mais malheureusement, de façon rapide et superficielle.
Le récit est intelligent, rythmé et assez drôle par moment, cependant le style est basique et plat.
Chose surprenante : aucune femme n'apparait dans les 300 premières pages. À croire que le futur d'Asimov se crée sans elles. ...more
