What Members Thought
Our Mutual Friend is the last complete work by Dickens, and the fifth of his books that I have read. I had some difficulty settling into this story, frequently feeling slightly lost, and forgetting who the characters were. I didn't see any relation between them until I was in at least Part 2. However, Dickens wit, satire and ability to be wickedly funny while heavily criticizing the world he lived in, kept me reading, and in the end I found the book smart, intriguing, and entertaining.
