This is the 2nd Miss Marple I've read and I must admit I'm loving them.
I appreciate Miss Marple's pragmatism and skill at observation. She retains a healthy cynicism about those around her, what they say about themselves and how this correlates with how they actually act.
I've watched quite a few TV dramatisations of Miss Marple mysteries, so although I couldn't remember exactly the plot of this one I did have an inkling as to the main twist.

Characters
Honestly, the characters were a bit difficult for me to tell apart, at least as far the police/investigators went. They all sort of ran together. Miss Marple, of course, was the exception to this rule, but she really didn't have much of a role until the end, which was disappointing. None of the other characters stood out, not even the guilty parties, which I really don't like.

Once in a while, I like to read an Agatha Christie. Nice reads if you don't have a lot of time or if your head is distracted by other things. Among Agatha Christie's detectives, miss Marple is by far my most Favourite. I enjoyed this Miss Marple mystery a lot. The nice thing about it is that you don't see from the beginning who did the murder, so it stays suspenseful.
