Shelves: horror, classics
Uma história curta, escrita como alguém a recordar-se de algo do passado. Existem pontos que não são explicados - quem é a mãe de Carmilla que conhecemos por exemplo?
O facto de sabermos o que Carmilla é faz as descrições da personagem e do que ela diz... interessante? Muita paixão por aqui.
No final, é uma boa história para ler numa tarde.

Credited as the key influence for Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Carmilla has long been on my list of reads, as Dracula is one of my favourite books.

I can see why the parallels have been drawn. Carmilla has a similar tone, similar themes and even some similar plot points. The reader sinks into the story, slowly at first, and then the pace quickens as the plot progresses.

I am torn between a 4 and 5 star rating. In terms of its contribution and originality, I would give it a 5 star but on its merits alone
