The start was very promising and riveting, when the time traveler traveled to distant future and come back. The rest of the novel is his explanation of his time travel. He find that humankind had evolved into two races, one living above the ground and one under the ground. He didn't understand their language at first and so he tried to figure out what could have happened for such evolution where the author give his personal view about how it will be in the future. Wells’s Time Traveller tells a bleak vision for the far-flung future of mankind, in which our civilization amounts to “a foolish heaping that must inevitably fall back upon and destroy its makers in the end”.
