Saya menyukai cerita ini. Di laman depan ada apresiasi dari Anna Quindlen. Saya menyukai apresiasinya. Terbayang buku ini merupakan suatu kenangan bagi seorang anak, entah kenapa menumbuhkan keinginan saya selain membaca buku ini, juga kembali mengoleksi buku2 fantasi.. aduhhh itu akan menyenangkan. Meski saya tidak tahu apa kegunaannya :p

Despite it being a short book, I couldn't wait to finish it and I actually fell asleep twice while reading it. I want to like this book but I really can't. I liked Meg in the beginning but as the story develops, she got more whiny and irritating. I really couldn't stand her. I felt all the characters and the whole story were under developed. There were no explanations given on why or how some things happened. The only time I was truly interested in the story was when IT appeared. That was quite ...more

The first truth is that in this particular summer, made up of road trips, we have dealt with all the chronicles of Narnia and I wanted to fill my further gaps in classical children's literature.
The second truth is that I liked the first three chapters of this book a lot, even if full of repetitions and moralizing slightly less than Lewis, perhaps compensated by the presence of a bit of science.
