What a fun play! I watched a movie version before I began to read and I don't think I could have made sense of all the characters, and the play-within-the-play, or the humor... if I hadn't seen the movie first. I'm pretty sure that just reading it alone would have been very confusing, so the movie really helped prepare me for a read-through.
My thoughts: I don't tend to watch or read comedies, and am not a fan of Romantic Comedies (which this play is), but I really loved the play! It's very funny ...more

I don't MIND it, at least I didn't the first four times.... Now the only blessing is that it's not R and J (by far my least favorite, blissfully fallen out of favor lately.) I still enjoy the Tempest but fear at this rate it might someday go this way too.
