Mrs Dalloway came to me with sky-high expectations. I had read and loved A Room of Ones Own and was looking forward to embarking on a new and different journey with Woolf.
I liked this book. There were extracts and passages which I loved, which captured my eye and ear and mind and made me think "Yes! - That's exactly what life is like!" However I didn't love it or come away from it in awe - which was what I was expecting.

My second time reading Mrs Dalloway. I remember clearly the first time I read it, I wasn't impressed at all and was wondering what is the point of this book. This time, however, I quite enjoyed it. Not to the point of loving it but just OK for me, definitely slightly better than the first time. Will definitely revisit this book again and again and see if anything changes. Just want to mention it here that even though I liked ...more
