According to Wiki, Northanger Abbey was the first of Jane Austen's novels to be completed for publication, though she had previously made a start on Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice. I enjoyed this book as much as Persuasion. Austen's humor definitely shines through in this book. I enjoyed the literary discussion, and the descriptions of Northanger tremendously.

I found the book humorous but the language tedious even with footnotes. This was the book I chose for the book published before 1850 and it was logical to read something by Jane Austen. I wish I hadn't read Pride and Prejudice, but this one was okay.

I listened to a special Audible performance of this fable. It was done very well but I dare say I think that I could have retained more knowledge of this tale if I had been reading the account in a paper version which I could lay my eyes upon said story and visit the previous pages to discern items of unremarkable remembrance.
