Cannery Row is beautiful, poetic, and full of rich and savory life.
Steinbeck captures emblematic threads of narrative in the lives of those who inhabit Cannery Row. Steinbeck's honesty and ability to immerse the reader in scene catches my attention as a reader and let's me get excited about the lives of the people in the town.
I really enjoyed the book and definitely recommend it. ...more
