My first read of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. I have watched movies of A Christmas Carol and have liked them so decided it was time to red the story.
Lars Martin
Merry christmas.

I read it a few weeks ago - the book strangely seems more charming and less trite than most of the movie versions. Our man Dickens could be a bit of a ham, of course....

Charles Dickens, of course, is one of the best story-tellers of all time. A Christmas Carol is the story of Ebenezer Scrooge. Of course, many have seen one version of the movie or another and simply write the book off. What a shame! Give it a shot. You will be glad you did.
