What Members Thought

I don’t know why I never read it before, but one of the reasons was my fear it was a boring romance. This book is nothing like that. What I most enjoyed was the humour in the novel, the subtilities in the psychological description and the clear language. It is by all means one of the most wonderful books I read and I recommend it to everyone.

I don’t know why it took me so long to read it. I definitely liked the main characters, especially Mr Darcy. I understood the reason why so many people mention him still nowadays in so many groups. Definitely worth reading it.

I read Pride and Prejudice when I was 12 or thirteen from the British Council Library here before it closed, and again from the school library when I was starting tenth grade, and from it I learnt that a man can have 'a fine figure', a woman, a favorable torso and the word 'impertinent', which I applied to a certain person with many online pseudonyms pertaining to 'Mr. Darcy' who negatively voted against my debate points in the Last WODC after I rejected his repeated phone proposals.

Brilliant book.
Absolutely chock full of witty repartee, this is the literary equivalent of the television show "The Gilmore Girls". Humorous and lively, a delight to read every time. ...more
