Jane Austen July 2023 (Read a book written by a Jane Austen's contemporary)
This was a wild ride. The book, unlike most late 18th-century works, is not dull. It's a bit all over the place, overblown and ill-structured, and Lewis, like many young authors threw everything and the kitchen sink into it. It wants a tighter structure.
